Pics and Pixels
As humans we are consuming images all the time. For example, the average person can process an entire imagine in under a minute according to what neuroscientists at MIT found through a study that looked at visual processing. With technology easily accessible and often in our hands, new images and media are being viewed constantly. It is easy to forget what we are really looking at when we are looking at these images on our phones, but in reality we are looking at pixels made of colors. Images are made of pixels which are filled with colors, specifically yellow, magenta, and cyan. These colors together can create any other color, helping to create images as we know them. The larger the image, the more color is requires and the more pixels that are used to comprise the image. On an even smaller scale than that, bits are what make up a pixel and hold the color that exists in the pixel itself. The depth of the bits is determined by the amount of color used to make up each color existing within the pixel.
